The problem
Event organisers issued and checked tickets manually, with no reliable way to stop duplicates at the door or to hand a company partial access to its own events.
Constraints
- Ticket validation happens at a venue door: it has to be fast and hard to forge
- Arabic-speaking audience, with bulk guest lists arriving as spreadsheets
